Q. What is coaching?
A.
Coaching is a Co-creative relationship between a coach and client, which empowers, supports, and holds the client accountable to the commitments they make.      return to top

Q. Is coaching like therapy?
A.
Consider this: A coach facilitates a conversation to guide you toward your objectives. I do not look to diagnose your problems or desire to have you revisit old sufferings. I have no plans for the session. The client identifies their agenda, and ultimately, the strategies for their own success. Therefore, coaching is unique and different than therapy.      return to top

Q. What is the most important topic or concern to coach around?
A.
It's the one you bring to me. The most important topic is generally the one you hesitate to mention.      return to top

Q. Can coaching help me with identifying my life's purpose?
A.
Coaching around one's purpose in life is very common. We each strive to find that one thing that will bring us joy. So yes, coaching enables the client to remove boundaries that may be limiting their thinking, and therefore empowers them to identify their heart's desires.      return to top

Q. Is coaching an effective way to lose weight?
A. Yes. Like with any goal, the outcome depends on the client's level of commitment. It is the coach's responsibility to ensure that the client is on track to achieve their desired outcome. It is the client's responsibility to be open, honest and at times, courageous, during the sessions.      return to top

Q. Can I coach about my relationship?
A.
Definitely. Relationship coaching has proven to be extremely effective for singles, couples, and families. Clients will even coach around their relationship concerns with their boss or colleagues. The key is to clearly identify the desired outcome. It is different for everyone. The coaching conversation supports the client's relationship goals.      return to top

Q. Why have a contract?
A.
Commitment is essential to making lasting changes in your life. Together we can determine what time frame would be best to achieve your goals. Over the years, many of my clients have continued to receive coaching as needed, once a month or several times a year.   return to top

Q. What does it mean for me to be committed to the coaching relationship?
A.
It means to be fully present during the coaching conversation. Use  me, your coach, to your advantage. Follow through with the assignments, complete the feedback forms and the coaching session preparation forms. For more, click here to review the coaching contract.      return to top

Q. Is coaching confidential?
A.
Yes. The sessions are not recorded and are not discussed with anyone.      return to top

Q. Why send me a summary of the coaching calls?
A.
Coaching is used to grow personally and professionally, and therefore, you control the conversation. During the sessions, you are generally relaxed and focused on the topic of discussion. Clients find it difficult to take notes for themselves and sometimes even forget what was discussed. A summary of the call is emailed for your review. You can choose to opt out of receiving a summary.      return to top

Q. What if I can't keep an appointment?
A.
If you cannot make our call, please give me at least 24 hours notice to reschedule. If you have an emergency, please call me as soon as possible to rearrange our call. If you call late, your call may be shortened accordingly.  We can discuss making  up time or a missed session.      return to top

Q. Do you give assignments or homework?
A.
As the client evolves, they may discover that they need to hold themselves accountable to follow-thru. Together we decide if an assignment is necessary or not. I may offer some suggestions, but the client selects their own assignment and clarifies the level of accountability they need.
